JEREMY TIERS' STORY

After spending 8 years coaching men’s college basketball at private and public universities in Minnesota and Indiana, in 2014 I shifted my focus to training, mentoring, and strengthening admissions and marketing teams.

 

One of the first things I created and published was a weekly newsletter that has since been delivered on more than 600 consecutive Tuesdays to a community of Higher Ed professionals that now exceeds 3,000.

In 2016 I was asked to give my first keynote speech at the Dakota ACAC Annual Conference. I've since been the keynote speaker at numerous other ACAC and Higher Ed admissions and marketing events. I've also spoken multiple times at the NACAC National Conference and the AMA Symposium for the Marketing of Higher Education.

 

The opportunity to host a podcast was presented to me in 2022. Mission Admissions has since become an award-winning show that is approaching 100 episodes and has amassed over 20,000 all-time downloads.

After 11 years and working with nearly 200 colleges and universities, in June of 2025 I decided to launch Top Tier Higher Ed. My goal is to continue to mentor, serve and provide college and university professionals with advanced training and communication solutions that help them climb the ladder and reach the Top Tier professionally and personally. Almost 40% of the schools I've partnered with over the years have chosen to partner with me multiple times.

In late 2025 I also became a founding member of the Crossroads Crew, a collaborative group of five Indiana Higher Ed enrollment and marketing leaders. In 2026 we began producing a monthly variety show on YouTube.

My “why” is simple. The ability to impact another person and play a role in their growth process is unbelievably rewarding and fulfilling.  ​
